 | The HCN DifferenceThe Homeschool Counseling Network, Inc. (HCN) is the only nonprofit organization committed to bridging the gap between the homeschooling and mental health communities. Our approach is two-pronged. First, we offer free mental health educational content and resources for homeschooling families through free memberships for families. Second, we recruit and train coaching, consulting, and counseling professionals to add to our directory. To be listed in our Preferred Provider Directory, professionals MUST first: 1. Exhibit a compassionate attitude towards the homeschooling lifestyle and homeschooling families by completing our Provider Attitudes Towards Homeschooling Scale (PATHS) metric, and 2. Complete HCN’s “Working with Homeschooling Families: Cultural Responsiveness, Ethics, & Best Practices” cultural competency training. The Homeschool Counseling Network is committed to cultivating a directory of professionals of the highest caliber to better serve the homeschool community. |
