Welcome

Hi there, welcome to The Homeschool Counseling Network (HCN).

Welcome to The Homeschool Counseling Network – YouTube

THANK YOU for stopping by!

My name is Kimberly. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor turned Homeschool Mom of one. To learn more about my story and background, visit our About page.

The Homeschool Counseling Network (HCN) was created to fill a gap. As a Licensed Professional Counselor for over twenty years and a homeschooling mom to a child with learning differences for five of those years, I am well-acquainted with the unique challenges homeschooling families face.

Homeschooling families are a village. You can ask us anything, we can make a lesson out of anything, and we are fiercely supportive of one another. While our approaches and methods for educating our children may differ, we share a common belief that ALL children deserve access to a quality education.

As a professional helper, I believe the same principles apply to families seeking support services for home-educating their children. Standing with one foot in the homeschooling community and one foot in the helping community, I saw a need in the world and decided to do something about it.

Thus, The Homeschool Counseling Network (HCN) was born.

What To Expect From HCN

HCN functions as a liaison between homeschooling families and professional helpers.

Our network consists of professionals in the areas of academic advising (career advising, transcripts, college transition, etc.), counseling (counseling, marriage and family therapy, mental health, psychology, psychiatry, social work, art therapy, music therapy, etc), testing (assessment, career interest inventory, learning disorders testing, gifted assessment, twice-exceptional learners, etc.), therapy (occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech-language pathology), and tutoring (coaching, education).

Here are a few of our features:

HCN – Bridging the Gap

By creating a resource list of homeschool family-friendly providers, we aim to help ease the burden of seeking support services.

It is our sincerest wish to offer comfort, encouragement, and support by connecting homeschooling families with providers who are equipped to help meet their counseling, education, and therapy needs.

Through providing FREE content to help support families in their homeschooling journey, we endeavor to accomplish our mission of inspiring, informing, and improving lives.

Come be a part of our village!

Blessings,

Kimberly Bennett
