Five Reasons To Keep Records In Your Homeschool
It’s that time of year again for our homeschooling family. We are winding down our work and wrapping up lessons for the end of the school year. Like many homeschoolers, we follow a traditional school calendar and counting down the days to summer vacation.
Among the many benefits we enjoy as hybrid homeschoolers, record keeping is among my top three. While the university-model school handles grades, transcripts, attendance records, and diplomas, I continue to keep a separate set of records as a homeschooling parent.
In honor of Homeschool Awareness Month, I decided to share some reasons for my record-keeping practice.
Why Keep Records?
While often tedious and burdensome, we keep medical records and tax records, so why should homeschool records be an exception?
