Homeschool Co-Ops, Hybrid Homeschool Programs, and Micro-Schools: HCN Wants YOU To Join Our Village
Multiple Methods, A Common Goal
While homeschooling families may differ in their opinions and preferences for how to home-educate their children, we all agree that each child is deserving of a quality education.
When I think of my family’s top reasons for homeschooling, I typically narrow it down to three: Faith, Family, and Freedom.
There are as many ways to homeschool children as there are children. To each his or her own. In our family, we have tried all three models mentioned in this article: co-ops, hybrid homeschooling, and a micro-school.
Before the pandemic, we were part of a small co-op with other families from our church. Unfortunately, the co-op disbanded once the pandemic hit. During the pandemic, our son attended a micro-school one day per week for electives. This fall, we will begin our third year as hybrid homeschoolers.
