Big Changes Ahead for the Homeschool Counseling Network Inc.
Since launching our website in January 2024, The Homeschool Counseling Network has worked hard to help bridge the gap between homeschooling families and coaching, counseling, and consulting professionals.
Transition to Nonprofit
In October 2024, The Homeschooling Counseling Network officially became a nonprofit organization, The Homeschooling Counseling Network, Inc.. By December 2024, The Homeschool Counseling Network Inc. was awarded 501(c)3 status.
If HCN is to continue growing, thriving, and serving the homeschooling community, we must become self-sustainable. Our goal is to continue to provide the homeschooling community with quality, free, and reduced-cost mental health resources.
New Mission and Vision
Clarity fosters communication.
HCN is working on clarifying its mission and vision statements and core values. Having a clear vision and mission will not only help us identify and set achievable goals for HCN’s future programs but also assist us in recruiting and cultivating mutually beneficial professional sponsorships and partnerships.
Be sure to subscribe to the HCN newsletter for the latest updates regarding our mission, vision, and goals.
Room to Grow
We will begin transitioning our current website to a membership-based platform in the upcoming months. As part of our commitment to affordability, there will be at least one FREE membership tier which will include all of the resources you see here on our current website.
HCN will continue to offer high-quality content such as blog posts, workshops, webinars, podcast episodes, professional interviews, homeschool-family-friendly provider directories, and more.
For now, we are pressing pause on accepting new professional directory membership applications until we can move all information to the new website.
Always Learning, Always Growing
At HCN we are working hard to serve the homeschooling community better.
Finding professionals with the knowledge, experience, and understanding to support homeschooling families through their practices and businesses can present a challenge.
In direct response to feedback from homeschooling families seeking compassionate, knowledgeable, and experienced mental health care providers, we are currently working on developing an empirical-based Cultural Competency, Ethics, and Best Practices continuing education workshop webinar series for professional mental health care providers.
Helping professionals who complete HCN’s course will be added to our Preferred Provider Directories.
