Bridging the Gap

The Homeschool Counseling Network operates under It’s Only Homeschooling, LLC (dba The Homeschooling Counseling Network). HCN was founded in January 2024 by Kimberly Bennett, a Licensed Professional Counselor (TX), former middle school guidance counselor, and homeschool mom of one.

Finding clinicians with the knowledge and understanding necessary to support homeschooling families through their professional practices can present a challenge. We are working hard at The Homeschool Counseling Network to help bridge this gap.

By creating a list of homeschool family-friendly providers, we aim to help ease the burden of seeking support services by doing some legwork for homeschooling families.

Our Mission

The Homeschool Counseling Network’s mission is to connect homeschooling families with free and reduced-cost resources in the areas of academic advising, counseling, testing, therapy, and tutoring to inspire, inform, and improve lives.

We accomplish our mission through writing, creating digital content, public speaking engagements (podcast appearances, educational conferences, continuing education workshops), and planning and implementing our own online and in-person events.

An Invitation and An Opportunity

It is our sincerest wish to offer families comfort, encouragement, and support by connecting homeschooling families with providers who are equipped to help meet their professional coaching, consulting, and counseling needs.

We invite you to join us in this endeavor by applying for membership today!

Membership Application UPDATES

HCN is officially a nonprofit organization with pending 501(c)3 status.

We will begin transitioning our current website to a membership-based platform in the upcoming months.

In the meantime, we are pressing “pause” on accepting new professional directory membership applications until we can move all information over to the new website.

The Homeschool Counseling Network Podcast

Homeschooling families are a village. You can ask us anything, we can make a lesson out of anything, and we are fiercely supportive of one another. While our approaches and methods for educating our children may differ, we share a common belief that ALL children deserve access to a quality education.

As a professional helper, I believe the same principles apply to families seeking support services for home-educating their children. Standing with one foot in the homeschooling community and one foot in the helping community, I saw a need in the world and decided to do something about it.

Thus, The Homeschool Counseling Network (HCN) was born.

Our sincerest wish is to offer comfort, encouragement, and support by connecting homeschooling families with providers who are equipped to help meet their counseling, education, and therapy needs.

Through providing FREE content and access to free and reduced-cost resources to help support families in their homeschooling journey, we endeavor to accomplish our mission of inspiring, informing, and improving lives.

As with our resource lists, you can expect professionals from all areas of education, mental health, professional coaching, and therapy.

Just like our blog posts and vlog posts, you will find a range of topics in academic advising, coaching, home education, counseling/mental health, testing, therapy, and tutoring. More importantly, we want to hear from the HCN audience on what topics are important to you and what questions you would like to ask professionals.
