Our Board
Kimberly Bennett, LPC
Founder
CEO
Kimberly Bennett is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over twenty years of experience in juvenile justice, psychiatric hospitals, public education, and private practice. Before launching HCN, Kimberly founded It’s Only Homeschooling – a website devoted to providing advocacy, community, and resources for families homeschooling children with learning differences. She has been married to her husband Robert for twenty-three years. She and her husband, Robert, have homeschooled their only son for the past six years.
“Whether it is professional coaching, counseling, mental health, or consulting services all families should be aware of and have access to quality, affordable support services to help their child succeed.”
Robert Bennett
Founder
President
Robert Bennett is an Electrical Engineer, former Army “brat”, devoted husband, and father. Along with his wife of twenty-three years, Kimberly, he has been homeschooling their eleven-year-old son for the past six years.
“Our family chose to homeschool to support our son’s learning differences and nurture his natural curiosity while keeping his spark for learning alive. When our son was first diagnosed with developmental delays, we unsuccessfully battled insurance companies to pay for his care. While our family was fortunate enough to be able to pay for his therapy out-of-pocket, many cannot. As parents, we have witnessed first-hand the positive impact of early identification and intervention on our son’s educational experience, self-esteem, growth, and overall quality of life. We want nothing less for your family.”
Meghan Skinner
Treasurer
Meghan Skinner brings a wealth of experience to the HCN team through her highly diversified background across finance, marketing, sales & business operations, and executive leadership. As an employee, an independent consultant, and a volunteer, she has worked with Fortune 50 organizations down to very small start-ups, giving her a unique perspective of the organizational challenges and opportunities that exist in all types of environments.
Meghan is also a homeschool parent of two boys, who have managed dyslexia and ADHD as part of their homeschool journey. Due to this, she has a particular interest in HCN’s mission to bring resources, education, and collaboration into this space, to better serve and support homeschool families.
“The homeschool community has grown tremendously over the last decade, with more than 3 million homeschooled students in the US now, but still with little to no support through traditional channels, especially when it comes to mental health or learning disabilities. Organizations like HCN and others will help bridge that gap between homeschoolers and the resources needed for all homeschool families to succeed.”
Terra Brown, OTR

Excels in program development, teletherapy, supervision, mentorship, and community education.
