FREE Parenting Workshops! The Homeschool Counseling Network and The Homeschool Quest Partner To Support Homeschool Parents

Bridging the Gap

Homeschooling families are a village. You can ask us anything, we can make a lesson out of anything, and we are fiercely supportive of one another. While our approaches and methods for educating our children may differ, we share a common belief that ALL children deserve access to a quality education.

As a professional helper, I believe the same principles apply to families seeking support services for home-educating their children. Standing with one foot in the homeschooling community and one foot in the helping community, I saw a need in the world and decided to do something about it. Out of this desire to help others, The Homeschool Counseling Network Inc. was born.

The Homeschool Counseling Network Inc. (HCN) was created to fill a gap. As a Licensed Professional Counselor for over twenty years and a homeschooling mom to a child with learning differences for five six of those years, I am well-acquainted with the unique challenges homeschooling families face when seeking support.

Providing Counseling Resources for Your Homeschool, One Connection At A Time

At HCN, we understand the struggle homeschooling families face in connecting with compassionate, homeschool-family-friendly mental health service providers. Ideally, we envision a world where every homeschooling family can receive the compassionate, knowledgeable, and experienced mental health care they need to help them succeed.

The Homeschool Counseling Network is dedicated to bridging the gap between the homeschooling and mental health communities one connection at a time. Through: (1) our network of compassionate, knowledgeable, and experienced professionals who provide tailored guidance and care to homeschooling families, (2) our online community offering homeschoolers a safe place to connect, interact, and support one another, and (3) our counseling resources, we can empower homeschooling families to grow, thrive, and succeed.

The Homeschool Counseling Network is committed to mental health advocacy and awareness inherent to our mission to bridge the gap between the homeschooling and mental health communities.

A Partnership for Parents

At HCN, we strive to partner with other homeschool organizations, both nonprofit and for-profit, professionals, and businesses whose goals align with our mission, vision, and values to help bring mental health resources, support, and services to the homeschooling community.

One such partnership is between The Homeschool Counseling Network and The Homeschool Quest. To learn more about the Homeschool Quest, check out the videos below. In The Salt & Light SERVE Spotlight Podcast, we interview two of the founding members of The Homeschool Quest, Janet and Amelia DeField. The Salt & Light SERVE Spotlight was a podcast that aired on HCN’s sister website, It’s Only Homeschooling.
